Unrelated Post
On every post on an “Ish” site, there is a widget labeled “Related Posts” which links the reader to other posts on that blog. Of course, the purpose of the widget is to drive more traffic to some of the blog’s older posts. I tried to add this widget using Themes, but the current Module menu doesn’t have this feature. I looked it up in the Xanga Help section. There were a couple of inquiries about this issue, but no one seemed interested in offering a solution.
I dismissed this feature as something that only the “Ish” sites were able to have, but then I noticed that TheTheologiansCafe had this widget. In a private message, I asked him how he did this. He replied that Xanga added it for him. I private messaged Xanga and asked if I could get that feature, and they denied my request.

I think you have to be 6’4″ in order to get it.
I think the basic plan is to give it to everyone. So I don’t know what you mean by the fact that it was denied.
In all seriousness though, when xanga added themes they had to test it. So they gave it to all the other sites that were getting about 20 comments or more because they had to test it and they wanted to build support for it. So all those sites had it. I knew about it and xanga told me I couldn’t have it. Why? Because everyone would complain if I was given something that no one else had. It can be given to all the other bloggers but somehow it couldn’t be given to me because people complain. Then xanga started the featured content section about 2-3 years ago. I was banned from being featured for 8-10 months. People would comment on my post and turn around and write a post about my same topic and they were featured and I was not. I asked xanga about it and one of the xanga team members told me, “people complain if you are featured.” That was the answer. So while every site on xanga was featured that was getting 20 comments or more, I was never featured.
Your post is a perfect example of this. This feature could be given to anyone else but me and people would have said, “cool, I can’t wait until xanga gives it to us.” But since it was given to me, the response is “This is unfair. How come Dan gets special treatment?” The reality is I get everything slower than the other bloggers simply because people complain if I get one little thing quicker.

Yeah, I wrote a post about getting that, and have helped a couple of other xangans get it. I don’t think xanga is ready to release it for public consumption yet, though, so there are a few bugs with the system. However, when I asked them directly if they had a problem with me using it, they claimed it was ok for me to do so.

I’m sure I’m supposed to write something here related to the whole widget thing, but all I can think about writing is this: You are 6’1″??? Damn. You’re tall for an asian!
haha
@TheTheologiansCafe - Stop overreacting. No where in this post is it stated that I think it is unfair or that I am complaining. If you think it is implied, then that’s your problem, not mine.
i doubt people would really use that feature even if it were there. i personally don’t have the time to read current posts let alone old ones. but it would be interesting to know. my profile is basically the same as yours but i’m younger and white. think i stand a shot if i ask with xanga ”please”? ha!
lol
