I Hope My Daughter is Fat

I watched a sitcom on the television the other night.  Although I had never seen this sitcom before, I definitely had seen this sitcom before.  It followed the cookie-cutter family sitcom formula of a boneheaded dad, semi-hot mother, and their zany kids (a la The Simpsons, According to Jim, George Lopez, My Wife & Kids, Family Guy, etc.).  This particular episode was about the teenage daughter’s desire to date a rebellious boy with a leather jacket from the other side of the train tracks, which prompted the bumbling father to go absolutely apeshit on the lad (and his libidinous daughter).  Hilarity ensued.

Considering that I’m a dude who started having relations with women when I was a teenager, I can imagine how stressful it is to be the father of a teenage daughter.  If I ever have a daughter, and if she brought home a boy to introduce to me, I would probably threaten the bloke by saying, “Whatever you do to her, I’ll do to you.”

I would probably make a lousy father.

My friend Julio actually took out his shotgun and "cleaned" it in front of a boy his teen daughter brought home.
The boy never came back again. lol.

But really, if you foster a good relationship with your daughters, you could manage to keep them from dating at least until they're around 18. I technically wasn't "allowed" to date until then myself. Dunno if it was a good decision (I feel like I'm behind in the realm of dating experience), but hey. It's plausible.

Just gotta teach the girls about condoms, the pill, and having self-respect/good judgment of boys' motives.

Ahaha that's a fantastic idea, the whole "whatever you do to her, I'll do to you." I've never heard that, now I have ammunition prepared. I worry about my unborn daughter simply because I know what I think sometimes when I go out on dates.

Man, that threat alone will keep away some boys... As for the boys it doesn't keep away, well, you might have to worry about for other reasons.

Well, according to those shows, lousy fathers end up with pretty hot wives.  So you got that going for you!

Ha, I guess my dad has nothing to worry about.

That *would* avert potential teenagey sexual-trysts alright, if you stick to your word.

Poor future-boyfriend to your daughter indeed!

what the hell shane, i just saw "twilight" and "taken" one right after the other in my hotel room earlier, and i was thinking, if i had a daughter, i would hope her bf to be like Edward, so he can do protect her, if not, i would be EXACTLY like the dad in "taken"

what the hell, great minds think alike!! But first u gotta talk to the barista that u like and ask her out, before u can have a daughter to be overprotective of  -_-
