Three months ago Starbucks began re-construction on their building and it's just now beginning to wind down. The place looks great. They have a snazzy new facade and a brand new outdoor patio. They've also redecorated inside as well.
In addition to the physical remodeling, I've seen the staff turnover during the summer months. While the new employees are nothing short of nice and outstanding, they're all very normal, which means they're kind of boring.
Also, the porn star that used to hang out there often isn't around so much anymore.
It's like a wholly different place.
This is probably why I haven't been hanging out there much lately. I mean, I'm still addicted to the place. I'm there every morning to get coffee to go, but I'm not hanging out there like a douche with a laptop as much as I used to. I'm sure this will change. I just don't know when. I'll probably write something about the Christmas cups when they come back in November.
Until then, Starbucks Story Tuesday is closed.
